First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and plenty of water. If

irritation develops, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical or foam may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

nitrogen, together with hydrogen cyanides.

Protective equipment: Full personal protective equipment and a self contained

breathing apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Isolate spillage. Avoid dust formation. Full personal

protective equipment and a self-contained breathing

apparatus should be worn. Sweep up spillage or use

industrial vacuum fitted with suitable dust filtration

system. Transfer to suitably labelled containers and dispose

of in accordance with local regulations. Flush spill site

with water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid skin and eye contact. The substance should be handled

under local exhaust ventilation. Avoid dust formation.

Gloves, goggles and a personal respirator should be worn.

Storage: Store in tightly sealed containers, in a cool, dark place,

away from sources of ignition, strong oxidants, peroxides

and metal salts.
