First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and keep patient at rest. Seek medical
attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with water while holding eyelids open for at least 15
minutes. Seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Flush area with large amounts
of water. Use soap. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide.
Product arising from burning: Will burn emitting toxic fumes of oxides of nitrogen, carbon
monoxide and halogen containing gases.

Protective equipment: During all fire fighting activities, wear appropriate
protective equipment, including self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personnel involved in clean-up should wear appropriate
personal protective equipment. Minimize exposure.
In the event of a large spillage, non-essential personnel
should be evacuated from affected area. Report emergency
situations immediately. Clean up opporations should only be
undertaken by trained personnel. Wear an air suit, rubber
gloves and rubber boots. Collect spilled material by a
method that controls dust generation. A damp cloth or
filtered vacuum should be used to clean spills of dry
solids. Clean spill area thoroughly. Transfer the waste
test substance to an appropriately labelled, sealed
container for disposal. Wipe up any powder left with a damp
cloth and place in a container for disposal. Care should
be taken to avoid environmental release.
In the event of a small spillage wear laboratory coat, eye
protection, rubber gloves and if the spillage occurs outside
a fume cupboard, a dust respirator to FFP2S protection.
Collect up the solid carefully and transfer to a sealed
container. Wipe up any powder left with a damp cloth and
place in a container for disposal.
The material should be disposed of by incineration in a
chemical incinerator in compliance with national or regional
requirements.
Handling and storage
Handling: The material should be handled in closed containers where
possible. Otherwise use appropriate local exhaust
ventilation or perform work in a fume cupboard. Care should
be taken to avoid the material entering the water course.
In production areas handle in closed containers or under
suitable local exhaust ventilation. Avoid generation of
dust. Wear coveralls, rubber gloves and rubber boots when
handling this material. In the event of dust generation not
adequately controlled by LEV wear and air-suit or a PVC suit
and air hood.
In laboratory areas wear safety glasses, rubber gloves and a
laboratory coat and perform operations in a fume cupboard.
Care should be taken to avoid the material entering the
water course.
Storage: Store at room temperature in properly labeled containers.
Keep away from heat, sparks and flames.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The material will be packed in a sealed anti-static
polyethylene bag inside a further sealed bag contained in a
fibreboard drum. The contents (Nett) weight of each drum
will not exceed 25Kg.

inhibited tested by the Waste Water Treatment Facilities
(WWTF) and found to send to the drain, they are then sent to
drain where they are then treated by the WWTF.

Ltd, Ringaskiddy, also use a diltion ration of 100-1 as they
discharge to the local harbour (Cork Harbour, Irelend)

to an Organic Waste Tank for incineration. All residuals
are negligible. Flue gases are scrubbed.
