There is an exothermic peak in the 325 to 345 °C region with mean onset 337°C (see 1 below). This exothermic peak is followed immediately by an endothermic one, indicating an overlap of decomposition and boiling. To confirm this interpretation, the boiling point was estimated with Syracuse software. The two major components, C16 (alkyl) and C18 (alkyl unsaturated) chains, were assumed as basis for the calculation. The predicted boiling range, 321 – 349 °C (see 2), corresponds to the peaks observed.
