Derivation of DNEL-workers

Hazard via inhalation route

Hazard assessment of titanium tetrakis(2 -ethylhexanolate) is based on the most hazardous degradation product, 2 -ethylhexanol (2 -EH), since the substance hydrolyses rapidly during the use and no reliable study is available from the substance itself. OEL value of 2 -EH is used to derive DNEL.

A very recent evaluation has been performed for 2-ethylhexan-1-ol by the European Scientific Committee for Occupational Exposure Limits (SCOEL). An occupational exposure limit has been set at 10 ppm (53.2 mg/m3). According to ECHA Guidance R.8 the DNEL is following this recent evaluation.

DNEL worker chronic systemic by inhalation route = 53.2 mg/m³
