The n-octanol/water partition coefficient of tes substance was investigated in a study conducted according to OECD Guideline 107 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), Shake Flask Method). Three tests (water/n-octanol: 50/50; 70/20 and 70/10 (v/v; tests conducted in duplicate each) containing initially 141 mg test substance/L water were performed and the log Kows determined. The log Kow was found to be 0.34 +/- 0.07 at 20°C and pH 7.4 -7.8.

Details:

test  volume water [mL]  volume n-octanol  initial concentration in water [mg/L]  final concentration in water phase [mg/L]  Kow  logKow
 1  50  50  141.5  48.8  1.90  0.28
 2  50  50  141.5  49.7  1.85  0.27
 3  70  20  141.5  87.7  2.15  0.33
 4  70  20  141.5  85.4  2.3  0.36
 5  70  10  141.5  104.7  2.46  0.39
 6  70  10  141.5  101.8  2.73  0.44
Conclusions:
The n-octanol/water partition coefficient of the test substance was determined to be 0.34 at 20 °C and pH 7.4 -7.8. (OECD 107, shake flask method)
