Conclusion on classification

The available studies are considered reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Directive 67/548/EEC and Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.

The lowest EC50 of the available aquatic toxicity studies is 0.976 mg/L. The lowest EC10 is 0.658 determined in the same test. No experimental data on bioaccumulation are available. However, due to the low logPow and estimated BCF of the degradation products and constituents no bioccumulation is expected. Furthermore, the uvcb substance and its degradation products are partially biodegradable but failing the ready biodegradability criteria.

Therefore, the substance meets the classification criteria according to Directive 67/548/EEC for R50/53 and Aquatic Acute 1 M-factor 1and Aquatic Chronic 2 according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
