Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Partition coefficient
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
> 6.5
Temp.:
30 °C
pH:
6.72
Details on results:
The retention time of the test material (30.361, 30.231 minutes) was slightly longer than that of the most retained reference substance (DDT, 27.451 minutes). The log10Pow for DDT is 6.50. The calibration curve was linear over the range of reference chemicals, with a correlation coefficient of 0.994.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Further investigative work was conducted in which a sample of test material contained water to encourage hydrolysis. There was a considerable reduction in peak size compared to a similar concentration of sample in dried acetonitrile. This indicated that the peak (at ~30.4 minutes) in the chromatograph was the undegraded material.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The log10Pow for the test material is >6.50.
