Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature of (Z)-octadec-9-enol is expected to be >250°C at 1013 hPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There is no measured auto-ignition temperature for the submission substance. However, auto-ignition temperature has been assessed based on available data for hexadecan-1 -ol and octadecan-1 -ol. Hexadecan-1-ol and Octadecan-1-ol have measured auto-ignition temperature values of 272°C at 1013 hPa and 269°C at 1013 hPa respectively with the use of a closed-cup method in accordance with ASTM E 659-78 (2005) test method. The results are considered to be reliable and are used as weight of evidence that the auto-ignition temperature of the submission substance is expected to be >250°C at 1013 hPa.
