Principles of method if other than guideline:
The solubility of Triclosan was determined by suspending an excess of the compound in the buffer and in the solvents n-hexane and n-octanol, andstirring the suspensions in a thermostatted water bath for 3 days. The concentration in the filtered solutions was then determined by HPLC analysis with a UV detector by the method of external calibration.
