The auto-ignition temperature was observed at 298 °C.
Executive summary:

The study follows method A.15 and has been conducted under GLP.

The auto-ignition temperature is the lowest temperature of the inner surface of an enclosure that results in ignition of a gas, vapour or liquid injected into the enclosure. The objective of this study was to determine the auto-ignition temperature of the test item in air at atmospheric pressure. A small sample of the test item was inserted into an uniformly heated 500 ml glass flask containing air at a predetermined temperature. The lowest temperature at which hot-flame ignition occurs for a series of prescribed sample volumes was taken to be the hot-flame auto-ignition temperature of the chemical.

Temperature was measured in case of each experiment at the outside and inside of the flask. The temperature distribution was steady outside the flask. The ignition delay time was determined when ignition was observed.

The experiment was carried out at 974 hPa atmospheric pressure.

Additional information

The autoignition temperature of the test material was investigated in a GLP study which was conducted in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.15. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

Under the conditions of the study, autoignition temperature was observed at 298 °C at 974 hPa.
