Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The chemical safety assessment according to Annex X of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 does not indicate the need to investigate further the toxicity to sediment organisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of annex X 9.5.1 of REACh Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 long-term toxicity testing with sediment organisms does not need to be conducted as the chemical safety assessment does not indicate a need for further investigations. The risk assessment for Glycerides, C8-18 and C18-unsatd. mono and di-, acetates based on the equilibrium partitioning method for PNEC sediment derivation, shows that the risk for sediment organisms is acceptable (RCR < 1) and thus, a test is not necessary. Due to a log Kow > 6.5 for Glycerides, C8-18 and C18-unsatd. mono and di-, acetates an additional factor of 10 was applied on the PEC/PNEC ratio, to take into account exposure of the benthic organisms via sediment ingestion.
