Description of key information

In a fish early life stage study fathead minnow eggs, Pimephales promelas, were exposed to a single test concentration under semi-static conditions (Sacker, 2018). The study was conducted in accordance with the OECD test guideline 210 and in compliance with GLP. The nominal test concentration was a control and 100% v/v saturated solution. The test solution was prepared as a saturated solution. Supporting chemical analysis showed the geometric mean measured test solution concentration was 0.00046 mg/l. The LoQ for this study was determined to be 0.00073 mg/l, therefore the results are based on nominal % v/v saturated solutions.

Under the conditions of the test, the test substance had no effect on survival or growth of newly laid fathead minnow eggs. The NOEC was determined to be > 100% v/v saturated solution. There are no long-term toxic effects anticipated to fish survival, growth or reproduction when exposed to the test substance at the limit of solubility.
