Additional information

In vitro gene mutation study in bacteria shows that Etheramine C13i is not mutagenic.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, no further studies need be considered.

Evaluation of the structure Etheramine C13i with various available QSARs in OECD Tobox (v.1.1.02) on different endpoints for genotoxicity, all indicate no concern. (See attached document: OECD ToolBox-GenTox QSARs Etheramine C13i.pdf)

Short description of key information:

Etheramine C13i is not mutagenic in bacterial mutagenicity test.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are no concerns for genotoxicity following testing for bacterial mutagenicity. Also various available QSARs for genotoxicity endpoints do not indicate a concern.
