Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The density of the test substance at 22 °C is 1.032 g/cm³.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The density of the test substance (CAS 91744-38-6, glycerides, C16-18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, potassium salts) was determined in a study according to OECD 109 (air pycnometer method). The density was determined to be 1.032 g/cm³ at 22 °C.

This value is used in a read-across approach in the registration of CAS 91744-39-7 (glycerides, C16-18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, sodium salts) as the only difference between the two substances is the associated alkali metal atom. CAS 91744-38-6 is the potassium salt and CAS 91744-39-7 is the sodium salt of glycerides, C16-18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates. As both substances show no differences in their chemical structure except for the cations linked to the molecule, substantial differences regarding physico-chemical properties are not expected.
