Additional information

All ecotoxicological endpoints were covered by read-across of studies of 1,4-bis[(2-ethyl-6-methylphenyl)amino]anthraquinone. This read-across is justified as both substances have very similar chemical structures, the main physicochemical parameters (vapour pressure, water solubility and dissociation constant) are in the same range and further all available toxicological studies for both substances revealed the same results. Therefore a read-across for other physicochemical, ecotoxicological or toxicological endpoints seems to be justified. Conclusion on classification

All results refer to the structure related 1,4-bis(2-ethyl-6-methy1anilino) anthraquinone (CAS-No. 41611-76-1) of 1,4-bis[(2,6-

diethyl-4-methylphenyl)amino]anthraquinone (CAS-No. 32724-62-2). No toxic effects were determined in the acute toxicity tests against fish, daphnia and algae and therefore the substance does not have to be classified as no hazards could be identified.
