Additional information

Reliable data obtained from studies conducted according to guideline. In a study conducted according to OECD Guideline 301 B (Ready Biodegradability: CO2 Evolution Test), citronellal proved to be readily biodegradable and fulfilling the 10 -d window criterion. Citronellal was biodegraded by 83% after 28 days based on the ratio of % CO2/ThCO2. In a further study conducted according to EU Method C.4-D (Determination of the "Ready" Biodegradability - Manometric Respirometry Test), citronellal proved to be readily biodegradable, but failing the 10 -d window criterion (ca. 63% after 28 d based on BOD/ThOD).
