Administrative data

Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Type of information:
other: statement
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
29 April - 25 July, 2008
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: The EU method was followed. Based on the molecular structure a statement rather than a full study was considered sufficient to cover this endpoint.

Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

Examination of the structure of the test substance establishes beyond reasonable doubt that the substance is incapable of showing a positive result in the test described in the EC A.21 guideline. The substance does not contain any group that might act as an oxidizing agent. The oxygen atom that is present in the chemical is bonded to carbon, which indicates that the molecule is oxygen-deficient. The impurities, present for <= 1.2 % in the test substance, were not taken into account but it is not to be expected that these have any influence. It is not to be expected that an interaction between the different components occur resulting in an oxidizing chemical.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: no oxidising properties
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The substance has no oxidizing properties.
