Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
1 000

Additional information

For the estimation of sorption, Koc is used to estimate partitioning coefficients in various compartments. There are there estimated values of Koc for Chiguard 380/Chiguard 380W using there different empirical methods, the results are as below:

Kenaga and Goring correlation (1980): LogKoc=3.934 or Koc=8590;

Hodson and Williams correlation (1988): LogKoc=4.179 or Koc=15100

Computer calculation using PCKOC by saracuse research Corporation: LogKoc=5.283 or Koc=191870

All the above Koc estimates are above 1000, and indicate that the substance will be tightly bound to organic matter in soil.
