Hydrolysis is not relevant in regard to abiotic degradation in the environment (DT50 > 1 yr)

One study investigating Hydrolysis as a function of pH for Fatty acids, C8-10, mixed esters with adipic acid and trimethylolpropane (CAS No. 95912-89-3) is available. The study was performed according to OECD guideline 111. The potential of the substance to hydrolyse was tested over 5 days under conditions of a preliminary study at pH 4, 7, 9 and 50 °C. The determined average concentrations of 96 to 101% (w/w) (results of days 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) revealed that the test item is stable and not prone to hydrolysis over 5 days when employing pH values of 4, 7 and 9 (Frischmann & Kenar, 2009). Thus, according to the OECD procedure, no further testing is required.

Additional QSAR calculations (HYDROWIN v2.00) for the main components of the substance support the assumption, that hydrolysis represents a negligible pathway for the fate of the test substance in the environment (DT50 [pH 7] > 1 yr; Hopp, 2011). In conclusion, hydrolysis is not a relevant degradation pathway in the environment.
