Additional information

Short term toxicity to fish:

In a 96-h acute toxicity study, Danio rerio were exposed to test item under static conditions. The 96-h LC50 was greater than 100 mg/L. Overall, it can be concluded that the results indicate that the substance is not acutely harmful to fish under test conditions.

Short term toxicity to invertebrates:

In a 48h acute toxicity study, Daphnia magna (STRAUS) were exposed to test item under static conditions. The 48h-EC50 was greater than 100 mg/L. Overall, it can be concluded that the results indicate that the substance is not acutely harmful to daphnia under test conditions.

Long term toxicity to invertebrates:

One valid long term daphnia study performed as a limit test according to OECD 211 and GLP is available. The NOEC after 21d was determined to be > 12 mg/l.

Toxicity to algae

Two acute algae studies according to guideline OECD 201 are availble. In the first study the test item was tested for toxicity to freshwater algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus) in 72 h-growth inhibition test. The EC50 was found to be greater than 800 mg/L, the EC10 was found to be 302 mg/l. The second study was performed as a limit test with a test concentration of 100 mg/l. The test item was tested for toxicity to freshwater algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus) in 72 h-growth inhibition test. The EC 10 and EC50 were found to be >100 mg/L. Overall, it can be concluded that the results indicate that the substance is not acutely harmful to algae under test conditions.

Toxicity to microorganisms

A valid activated Sludge Respiration Inhibition Test (OECD 209) according to GLP is abvailable. The EC10was found to be 540 mg/l and the EC50 wasdetermined to be > 1000 mg/l.
