Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Toxic effects of D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, heptyl glycoside to soil microorganisms are unlikely to occur. Since the substance is readily biodegradable an indirect exposure via deposition of activated sludge to soil can be ruled out and it has low potential to adsorb because of its low log Koc of -0.8 to 1.0. In addition, no toxic effects of the category member D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, C10-16-alkyl glycosides (CAS: 110615-47-9) to terrestrial organisms were found in studies with the earthworm Eisenia foetida and terrestrial plants in the highest concentration tested (654 mg/kg). Toxic effects to soil microorganisms are not expected and no test is required. The PNEC for the risk assessment was calculated from the available data.
