Description of key information

no explosive properties

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

- There are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule

- Further the experimental determination by DSC on substance showed the exothermic decomposition energy is less than 500 J/g and the onset of exothermic decomposition is below 500°C.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The explosive properties of substance were screened based on a set of criteria for C&L as outline in the section R.7.1.11 of Guidance chapter R.7a of REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006

- There are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule

- Further the experimental determination by DSC on substance showed the exothermic decomposition energy is less than 500 J/g and the onset of exothermic decomposition is below 500°C.

It can be concluded that the substance is not to be considered having potential explosive properties. Thus it is not to be classified as an explosive material.
