Additional information

The distribution in a sewage treatment plant (STP) has been estimated using the SimpleTreat 3.0 model (implemented in EUSES), see table below.

Table: Distribution modelling for STP

Fraction of emission directed to air by STP

6.896

[%]

Fraction of emission directed to water by STP

6.768

[%]

Fraction of emission directed to sludge by STP

86.33

[%]

Fraction of the emission degraded in STP

0

[%]

ViM4Q is not expected to undergo any significant biodegradation in the aqueous environment or sewage treatment plant, and is predicted to have very high Henry’s Law constant and high log Kow/log Koc. Sludge is the main compartments to which it is expected to partition in a sewage treatment plant, with some partitioning to air and water.
