Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on the read-across source study with N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl) hexanediamide, the no observed effect concentration was concluded to be 200 mg/L nominal (196 mg/L measured) after 22 days of exposure. Thus, no concern by the target substance N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-hydroxypropyl) hexanediamide is concluded and the result can be used for read-across.

Additional information

According to OECD Guidelines for testing of chemicals, section 202, April 1984, a long-term Daphnia study was conducted under 200, 100, 50, 25, 12.5 and 0 mg/L exposure to N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl) hexanediamide. The result indicated that the test material had no effect on Daphnia survival or reproduction at 200 mg/L nominal (196 mg/L measured) of product concentration, under the test condition. So, the 22 d-NOEC value was 200 mg/L which can be caried over in a read-across to N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-hydroxypropyl) hexanediamide.
