Preliminary test: as the sample of Tetrakis (hydroxymethyl) phosphonium chloride did not ignite, further testing was necessary.

Train test: mixtures of 10% sample in cellulose and 70% sample in cellulose were tested, however, like in the preliminary test no signs of combustion were observed. Therefore testing was terminated as the sample is clearly non-flammable.

Following a GLP test performed in accordance with A17 test method (EC 440/2008), THPC did not ignite. The substance is not considered as an oxidising solid.
