Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information
· In view of the relatively potent glucocorticoid activity of GSK2619294A, this substance is expected to possess typical target organ toxicity of that class of compound if absorbed.
· Past occupational overexposure to corticosteroids has resulted in systemic corticosteroid activity, including Cushing’s syndrome and adrenal suppression. Consequences of exposure also include delayed wound healing and susceptibility to infection and reduced responses to stress. This is more likely to be the consequence of repeated overexposure over a period of time.
Therapeutic use of glucocorticoids for long periods and at higher doses has been associated with an increased incidence of osteoporosis and avascular necrosis of bone.Justification for classification or non-classification
As the test material has demonstrated activity equivalent to known potent glucocorticoids and based on these known effects (as discussed above), the material has been assigned the classification of Reproductive toxicity; Category 1B.
