Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test material to fish was investigated in Oncorhynchus mykiss (Rainbow trout) in accordance with standardised guidelines OECD 203 and EU Method C.1. During the test, fish were exposed to the test material at concentrations of 0, 0.1, 1, 10 and 100 mg/L in water, for a period of 96 hours and were observed for mortality and sub-lethal effects. Under the conditions of the test, there were no mortalities and no sub-lethal effects were observed. The 96 h LC50 of the test material was determined to be in excess of 100 mg/L with the 96 h NOEC concluded to be 100 mg/L.

The study was performed in line with GLP and accepted standardised guidelines with a high standard of reporting. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria outlined by Klimisch (1997) and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, 96 h LC50 value of > 100 mg/L, was taken forward for risk assessment.
