Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- Endpoint:
- water solubility
- Type of information:
- experimental study
- Adequacy of study:
- key study
- Reliability:
- 1 (reliable without restriction)
- Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
- guideline study
- Qualifier:
- according to guideline
- Guideline:
- OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
- Deviations:
- no
- GLP compliance:
- yes
- Type of method:
- flask method
- Water solubility:
- > 100 g/L
- Conc. based on:
- test mat.
- Loading of aqueous phase:
- 100 g/L
- Incubation duration:
- 24 h
- Temp.:
- 20 °C
- pH:
- 7
- Remarks on result:
- other: The pH value is assumed and was not determined.
- Details on results:
- Flask A: A clear solution was obtained after 1 minute of stirring. No phase separations or sedimentations were observed over a time period of 24 hours.
Flask B: A slightly turbid mixture was obtained after 5 minutes of stirring. This mixture was stable without any visible changes over a time period of 24 hours.
Flask C: A highly turbid mixture was obtained after 30 minutes of stirring. This mixture was further instable over a time period of 24 hours. Sedimentations were observed and the mixture became highly viscous and stayed very turbid. - Conclusions:
- The water solubility of RFR 6634 was determined to be > 100 g/L.
- Executive summary:
Solubility tests of the test item in demineralized water were prepared in the following ratios: 1:10, 1:1 and 10:1. A ratio of 1:10 (test item/water) resulted in a clear liquid. Accordingly, the water solubility of RFR 6634 was determined to be > 100 g/L.
Reference
Due to the clear solution in flask A it is justifiable to state that the water solubility of the test item RFR 6634 is > 100 g/L.
Description of key information
Solubility tests of the test item in demineralized water were prepared in the following ratios: 1:10, 1:1 and 10:1. A ratio of 1:10 (test item/water) resulted in a clear liquid. Accordingly, the water solubility of RFR 6634 was determined to be > 100 g/L.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Water solubility:
- 100 g/L
- at the temperature of:
- 20 °C
Additional information
100 g/L should read: > 100 g/L
