Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: None
Emergency measure - Skin: None
Emergency measure - Ingestion: None
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: Possibility of NO2 and SO2 evolution.
Product determined by test: N
Accidental release measures
with much water (in accordance with local/national
regulations in both cases).
Handling and storage
procedures and good housekeeping. Protective clothing
(including impervious overalls, headcovering, suitable
footwear and gloves) should be used. Weighing to be in an
enclosed ventilated area and transfer by partially enclosed
scoops.
Storage: All containers should be in good condition in a well
ventilated, easily cleaned store. Lids to be kept in place
as far as possible.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Not given, 6th amendment notification

Stability and reactivity
Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
bound to the fabric: recovery of the remaining 5% of highly
water soluble dye is impractical.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance will be discharged in industrial effluent
(total <0.5 t.p.a. and 35-40 users) following fixation to
the fabric. The concentration in the effluent should not be
allowed to exceed 10 ppb.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Waste gas treatment should be used to
remove sulfur and nitrogen oxides.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Relatively little of the substance will be destroyed
aerobically. However, allied dyes are known to be
susceptible to anaerobic degradation.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.
