First-aid measures
First aid measures
· General information:
Get medical attention immediately if symptoms occur. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
· After inhalation:
IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
· After skin contact:
Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. If a person feels unwell or symptoms of skin irritation appear, consult a physician.
· After eye contact:
Rinse immediately carefully and thoroughly with eye-bath or water. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
· After swallowing:
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this SDS or label. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
· Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Severe eye irritation.
May cause allergic skin reaction.
Risk of serious damage to eyes.
Burning
· Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
· Suitable extinguishing agents:
Alcohol resistant foam
Fire-extinguishing powder
Carbon dioxide
Dry sand
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture No further relevant information available.
· Hazardous combustion products
Carbon monoxide
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Oxides of phosphorus (POx)
Advice for firefighters
· Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Wear protective clothing.
· Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
· Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Sweep up and shovel into suitable containers for disposal.
Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.
Prevent product from entering drains.
Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained
Handling and storage
·Precautions for safe handling
Thorough dedusting.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing mists, dusts, or vapors. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
· Information about fire - and explosion protection: No special measures required.
· Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
· Storage:
· Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles:
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep product and empty container away from heat and sources of ignition.
· Information about storage in one common storage facility: Not required.
· Further information about storage conditions:
· Unsuitable storage materials: Carbon steel
· Suitable material:

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters
· Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Not required.
· Additional information: The lists valid during the making were used as basis.
Exposure controls
· Personal protective equipment:
· General protective and hygienic measures:
Maintain adequate engineering controls and/or ventilation to keep hazardous ingredients below their statutory
limits. Use an approved respirator whenever exposure limits are exceeded.
· Respiratory protection: Not required.
· Protection of hands: Protective gloves
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation
· Material of gloves: Neoprene gloves Nitrile rubber, NBR
· Penetration time of glove material: The determined penetration times according to EN 16523-1:2015 are not performed under practical conditions. Therefore a maximum wearing time, which corresponds to 50% of the penetration time, is recommended.
· Eye protection: Wear face-shield and protective suit for abnormal processing problems.
Tightly sealed goggles
· Body protection: Protective work clothing.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity No further relevant information available.
Chemical stability
· Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.
· Possibility of hazardous reactions No dangerous reactions known.
· Conditions to avoid Heat, flames and sparks
· Incompatible materials: Oxidizing agent
· Hazardous decomposition products: No dangerous decomposition products known.
Disposal considerations
· Waste treatment methods
· Recommendation
Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with chemical or used container. Dispose of in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
· Uncleaned packaging:
· Recommendation: Dispose of packaging according to regulations on the disposal of packagings.
· Recommended cleansing agents: Water, if necessary together with cleansing agents.
