In the absence of suitable data, it is not possible to quantify DNELs for disilane, chloro Me derivs. The critical health effect is considered to be corrosion of skin and the respiratory tract. Semi-quantitative risk characterisation will be performed for the inhalation route on the basis of the EU OEL for the hydrolysis product, hydrogen chloride (8 mg/m3equivalent to 12.5 mg/m31,2-dimethyl,1,1,2,2-tetrachlorodisilane).
