Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Give artificial respiration
and seek medical attention, if necessary.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes, seek medical
attention promptly.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and
sulphur oxides together with some soot. Suitable
extinguishing agents are water, dry chemical, carbon
dioxide and foam (dry powder will support combustion).
Firefighters should wear a self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear protective clothing (see 2.3.1), avoid contact.
Collect by mechanical means any solid material. Solutions
should be taken up using suitable absorbent. Place waste in
suitable containers, appropriately labelled as waste.
Dispose of waste by incineration or at an approved landfill
site. The spill area should be washed with detergent and
water (collect waste water for disposal). Uncontaminated
material may be returned to the original container.
Handling and storage
Handling: Maintain good housekeeping procedures, handle in a dust-
and splash-free system. Avoid skin and eye contact, do not
breathe dust (no smoking or food in the workplace). Use
rubber or plastic gloves and apron, safety goggles with
side-shield. If dust formation is possible use a
respirator. Emergency deluge showers and eye-wash stations
should be readily available.
Storage: Store in a cool dry place away from excessive heat. Use
original or similar waterproof containers, reseal
immediately after use. Avoid unnecessary contact.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not economically possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable (FRG c.a. summary).
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at an approved landfill site is possible.
Discharge to surface water is not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal at an approved facility at a temperature in excess
of 950 deg C and using waste gas treatment to remove
nitrogen and sulphur oxides is recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended, only very limited degradation expected.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable for the preparation to be marketed.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Preparations containing the substance may be disposed of as
normal office waste.
