First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
General
In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
After inhalation
Take the casualty into the fresh air and keep warm. Keep at rest. Irregular breathing/no breathing: artificial respiration.
Unconsciousness: lateral position - call a physician.
After skin contact
Immediately remove all contaminated clothing. Wash away with soap and water and rinse. Do NOT use solvents or thinners.
After eye contact
Remove contact lenses, keep eyelids open. Flush with plenty of water (10 - 15 min.). Call a physician.
After ingestion
Contact a doctor immediately. Keep at rest. Do not induce vomiting.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
None known.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
None.
Fire-fighting measures
5.1 Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media
Alcohol resistant foam, CO2, powders, water spray.
5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
In case of fire toxic gases may be formed. In flames as well as on hot surfaces toxic and decomposition products with
penetrating smell may be formed.
5.3 Advice for firefighters
Appropriate breathing apparatus may be required. When extinguishing fires, use breathing apparatus with an independent
source of air.
5.4 Additional information
Cool endangered containers with water in case of fire. Do not allow the quenching water into the sewage system.
Accidental release measures
6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Provide for sufficient ventilation. Refer to protective measures listed in sections 7 and 8. Avoid dust development.
6.2 Environmental precautions
Do not empty into drains. If the product contaminates lakes, rivers or sewages, inform appropriate authorities in accordance
with local regulations. Prevent entering ground and waters.
6.3 Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Contain and collect spillage with a vacuum cleaner or by wet brushing and place in container for disposal according to local
regulations. (See section 13). Take up mechanically. Avoid dust development. Place in suitable and closable containers and hold
for waste disposal. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.
6.4 Reference to other sections
None.
Handling and storage
7.1 Precautions for safe handling
Information for safe handling
Only use in locations with adequate suction ventilation. Normal precautions taken when handling chemicals should be
observed. Avoid dust development. Provide working site with eye and safety showers. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do
not eat or drink during work - no smoking. Comply with the health and safety at work laws.
7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Requirements to be met by storerooms and containers
Store containers tightly closed in a cool well ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and
kept upright to prevent leakage. Containers should be kept dry and sealed.
Further information about storage conditions
Always keep in containers of same material as the original one. See also instructions on the label. Avoid heating and direct
sunlight.
Storage class (TRGS 510) : 11
7.3 Specific end use(s)
None.

Exposure controls / personal protection
8.1 Control parameters
None.
8.2 Exposure controls
Personal protective equipment
General protective and hygiene measures
The usual precautionary measures for the handling of chemicals have to be observed. Do not eat or drink during work - no
smoking. Wash hands before breaks and after work.
Respiratory protection
Fresh air masks are recommended, or combination filters A2-P2 for works of short duration.
Hand protection
Use protective gloves. Avoid contact with the skin and mouth. After washing hands replace lost skin fat by fat containing skin
creams.
Eye protection
Use tightly fitting safety glasses.
Body protection
Use appropriate skin protection cream before work. Chemical resistant safety clothing.
Stability and reactivity
10.1 Reactivity
There are no data available on the product itself.
10.2 Chemical stability
There are no data available on the product itself.
10.3 Possibility of hazardous reactions
There are no data available on the product itself.
10.4 Conditions to avoid
Stable under recommended storage and handling conditions(See section 7). Temperatures > 40°C, direct sun light, wetness.
10.5 Incompatible materials
There are no data available on the product itself.
10.6 Hazardous decomposition products
When exposed to high temperatures may produce hazardous decomposition products such as carbon monoxide and dioxide,
smoke, oxides of nitrogen.
Disposal considerations
Do not empty into waters or drains. In accordance with local official regulations. Pass on to an appropriate incinerating plant or
depository or recycling.
Contaminated packaging
Contaminated packaging must be emptied of all residues and, following appropriate cleaning, may be sent to a recycling plant.
Uncleaned packaging must be disposed of in the same manner as the medium.
