First-aid measures
General advice:
Move out of dangerous area. Symptoms of poisoning may appear several hours later. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Consult a physician.
If inhaled:
Bring the person into the fresh air and let rest undisturbed. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. Consult a physician.
In case of skin contact:
Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. Consult a physician.
In case of eye contact:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician immediately. Protect unharmed eye.
If swallowed:
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Induce vomiting, but only if victim is fully conscious.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
Water mist, Alcohol-resistant foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry chemical

Specific hazards during firefighting:
Dangerous gases or fumes may occur in case of fire. Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire. Closed container may rupture if strongly heated.
Advice for for firefighters:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray. Closed container may rupture if strongly heated. Remove unnecessary personnel from the danger area. Standard procedure for chemical fires. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Accidental release measures

Remove unnecessary personnel from the danger area. .Avoid breathing aerosols. Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Environmental precautions:
Try to prevent the material from entering drains or water courses. Should not be released into the environment. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.
The product includes heavy metals. Prevent release into the environment. Special pretreatment required.
Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly while observing environmental regulations.
Methods for cleaning up:
Confine any leaking material by inorganic, non-acidic, non-combustible, absorbing material (e.g., sand, alkaline alumina, kieselguhr, vermiculite), take it up and store it in containers to be disposed of in compliance with local/national legal regulations. Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal. The material taken up must be disposed of in accordance with regulations.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling:
Persons with a history of skin sensitisation problems or asthma, allergies, chronic or recurrent respiratory disease should not be employed in any process in which this mixture is being used.
This substance should be handled under strictly controlled conditions as specified in Reach regulation article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management system should be available at each manufacturing site. During the whole lifecycle all necessary measures should be undertaken to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure.
Use only in closed systems. Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
No special protective measures against fire required. Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Requirements for storage areas and containers:
Store at room temperature under nitrogen or syngas (H/CO 1:1). Protect against air/oxygen. Keep containers tightly closed. Keep away from heat.

Exposure controls / personal protection
ENGINEERING MEASURES
Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms. Refill and handle product only in closed system.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Respiratory protection:
In inadequately ventilated areas, where workplace limits are exceeded, where unpleasant odours exist or where aerosols are in use, or smoke and mist occur, use self-contained breathing apparatus or breathing apparatus with a type A filter or appropriate combined filter (e.g. where aerosols are in use, or smoke and mist occur, A-P2 or ABEK-P2), in compliance with EN 141.
Hand protection:
Use impervious gloves. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it. Please observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. Also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used, such as the danger of cuts, abrasion, and the contact time.

Protective suit, impervious clothing. Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
Hygiene measures:
Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Use barrier cream regularly. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing dust or spray mist. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas.

Contaminated packaging should be emptied optimally and after being suitably cleaned returned for re-use., Packaging that cannot be cleaned must be disposed of in the same way as the material itself.
