These values are derived from experiments, literature and information from the glove manufacturer.

They can also be derived from similar materials. In daily work please be aware that the using time depends on several factors and can be shorter than the oficially tested permeation time.

The Personal protective equipment (PPE) specified for a particular task should be that chosen as a result of a risk assessment, which takes into account such factors as the nature of the task, the hazards associated with the material and the quantities handled. Generally, information in KSO handling recommendation sheets gives advice on PPE to be worn where medium/large quantities are handled and/or other controls (e.g. ventilation) are not in place, or for emergency situations.
