Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
0.076 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6.5 - 6.8
Remarks on result:
other: result is mean value of analysed concentrations after 24, 48 and 72 hours

Preliminary test

The content of test substance dissolved in the water sample was 0.0794 g/l.

Main study

The maximum difference (MD) of the concentrations determined in the 24, 48 and 72 hour test samples was ≤ 15%. Based on this, the water solubility of the test substance is given as the mean value of the analysed concentrations.

A small test substance response of approximately 1% relative to the water solubility samples was observed in the blank. This is considered to have no effect on the study.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
Using the flask method the water solubility of 3,3’-DDS was determined to be 0.0764 g/l at 20°C. The pH of the aqueous samples was 6.5 – 6.8.
Executive summary:

The 3,3'-DDS is slightly soluble in water at 20°C and ph between 6.5 -6.8.
