Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A 96 h EC50 value of 110 mg active acid/L has been reported for the effects of the test substance on the mobility of the marine arthropod Acartia tonsa. The study was conducted according to ISO/CD 14669 and although it lacks reporting details it is considered to reliably indicate that the substance is of low short-term toxicity. No data are available with the registered substance on freshwater invertebrate toxicity, therefore the 96h EC50value from the marine exposure of BHMT to A. tonsa is used as the freshwater key value for chemical safety assessment.
