Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The determination of the growth inhibition of the fresh algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata exposed to Tetramethyltrimethylenediamine (TMPDA) for a duration of 72h was performed following the method OECD 201 and according to GLP (Gancet, 2003). Algae were exposed to the following nominal concentrations for 72h: 0, 0.5, 1.28, 2.8, 6.2, 13.6 and 30mg/L. Initial and final concentrations were equivalent to nominal concentrations. Therefore, calculations of effective concentrations EC50 and EC10 were performed using initial values.

The study was performed using an algal suspension so that the initial cell concentration was equal to 1x10E4 cells/mL. The algal concentration was measured daily. The validity criteria of the study were fulfilled. The ErC50_72h and ErC10_72h were determined to be 10 mg/L and 1.1 mg/L, respectively.
