Conclusions:
It is remarkable, that there is no single boiling point measurable for the sample isooctadecanoic acid,
compound with dicyclohexylamine (1:1). However, the boiling range of the substance looks like the
boiling range of a two-component mixture. The first component is boiling at about 252°C and the
second component is boiling at about 360°C.
The measurement of the single components dicyclohexylamine and isooctadecanoic acid, shows that
the boiling point of dicyclohexylamine is at about 252°C and the boiling point of isooctadecanoic acid
is at about 360°C. Therefore, it is presumable that the test sample isooctadecanoic acid, compound
with dicyclohexylamine (1:1) does not have a boiling point, but there is a decomposition of the
substance at elevated temperatures into the educts dicyclohexylamine and isooctadecanoic acid.
