First-aid measures

- General advice:

Call a physician immediately. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. Move out of dangerous area. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose of safely.

- Following inhalation:

Move to fresh air. Seek medical advice immediately.

- Following skin contact: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water. Seek medical advice immediately.

- Following eye contact: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

- Following ingestion: When swallowed seek medical aid immediately and show the physician the packaging or the label of the packaging. Do not induce vomiting. In case of acute poisoning, lie the victim in a half upright position.

- Most important symptoms and effects: No information available. Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: All means (e.g. water, carbon dioxide, dry chemical extinguisher)

- Unsuitable extinguishing media:

Strong water jet.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, the product may emit toxic and.or irritating fumes. Supposed thermal decomposition/oxidation products are carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

- Advice for fire fighter: Use self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be dispose of in accordance with the local regulations.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Appropriate gas full face respirator or air supplied hood depending on released quantities. For large quantities, use insulating breathing apparatus and chemical suit.

- Environmental precautions: Avoid any spreading of the product. Do not allow to enter drains or waterways.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Take up mechanically. Avoid raising dust. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading "disposal". After cleaning up the product, rinse the polluted area with water. Collect the cleaning waters for further treatment.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

           - Industrial scale: This substance should be handled under strictly controlled conditions as specified in REAC regulation article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management system should be available at each manufacturing site. During the whole lifecycle all necessary measures should be undertaken to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure. Enclosed transfer strongly recommended. Work in a defined area with restricted access recommended. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic loading.

      - Laboratory scale: Handling in a fume cupboard. Work in a defined area with restricted access.

      - Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Take precautionary measures against electrostatic loading. Render equipment and apparatus inert (nitrogen, inert gases) and earth before putting into operation. Avoid formation of dust. Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep only in the original container. Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed and dry. Protect from light. Store in a well-closed container at a temperature not exceeding 30degC. Keep away from heat.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- General protective measures: Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. A workplace risk assessment must be carried out in order to determine the correct engineering control measures and personal protective equipment. Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier. Intermediate for use under strictly controlled conditions. The safety data sheet complies with the specific conditions on which the registration is based in accordance with article 17 or 18 of the REACH regulaiton ((EC) No. 1907/2006)

- Industrial Workplace

1. Respiratory protection: Full mask with dust filter P3. Powereed Air-purifying respirator (PAPR) - mounted airhat.

2. Hand protection: Nitrile rubber gloves. Gloves must comply with the specifications of EC directive 89/686/EEC and the resultant standard EN374. This recommendation applies only to the product stated in this safety datasheet and supplied by us as well as to the purpose specified by us. When dissolving in or mixing with other substances and under conditions deviating from those stated in En374 please contact the supplier of CE-approved gloves.

3. Eye/Face protection: safety glasses with side protectio shield.

4. Body protection: Dedicated protective suit.

5. Additional technical information on the plant: Use under strictly controlled conditions.

6. Hygiene measures: Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work time. Keep away from foodstuffs and beverage. After worktime and during work intervals the affected skin areas must be thoroughly cleaned. Shower recommended.

- Laboratory

1. Respiratory protection: Handling in a fume cupboard

2. Hand protection: Nitrile rubber gloves, thickness >0.11 mm, breakthrough time >480 min

3. Eye/face protection: Safety glasses with side protection shield.

4. Body protection: Dedicated working clothes.

5. Hygiene measures: Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.

Stability and reactivity

Dust may be explosive (no data available)

Supposed thermal decomposition/oxidation to carbon monoxide and carbond dioxide.

No hazardous reactions known.

Disposal considerations

Product should be disposed of in accordance with regulation for special waste, must be taken to an authorised special waste incineration plant. Harmful emissions must be removed by flue gas scrubbing.

Uncleaned empty packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste.
