Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No experimental data for Methyl-tris acetonoximo-silane (MAC) is available. Therefore, data from WASOX-MMAC2, a chemical substance that is structurally similar, with similar physico-chemical characteristics were used to describe the environmental fate and pathways of Methyl-tris acetonoximo-silane (MAC).

In the CO2 evolution test (modified Sturm test) reported by Weiss-Fuchs (2004), WASOX-MMAC2 is not readily biodegradable (32.1% after 28 days). Since the source substance WASOX-MMAC2 is not readily biodegradable, the target substance Methyl-tris acetonoximo-silane (MAC) is expected to be not biodegradable, too.
