First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures:In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
In case of inhalation:Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Oxygen may additionally be given, by trained personnel, if it is available. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
In case of skin contact:After contact with skin, wash with generous quantities of running water. Gently and thoroughly wash affected area with running water and non-abrasive soap. Cool water may be used. Cover the affected area with emollient. Seek medical attention. Wash any contaminated clothing prior to reusing.
In case of eyes contact:Check for and remove any contact lenses. Immediately flush eyes with clean, running water for at least 15 minutes while keeping eyes open. Cool water may be used. Seek medical attention.
In case of ingestion:Do NOT induce vomiting. Give water to victim to drink. Seek medical attention.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:Harmful if swallowed .Causes serious eye irritation.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:If skin irritation or rash occurs, get medical advice/attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media:Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, alcohol or polymer foam.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Not available.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:In case of fire, the following can be released: carbon oxides, sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides.
Advice for firefighters:Firefighters must wear fire resistant protective equipment. Wear approved respirator and protective gloves.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
For non-emergency personnel:Remove ignition sources. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation dust. Avoid skin and eye contact.
For emergency responders:Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if dust is generated.
Environmental Precautions:Avoid disposing into drainage/sewer system or directly into the aquatic environment.
Methods for Containment and Cleaning up:Scoop up solid material or absorb liquid material and place into appropriate container. Ventilate area and wash affected spill area after pickup is complete. Place solid or absorbed material into containers and close for disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Protective measures:Never weigh out in the storage room. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Do not breathe dust. Handle in well ventilated areas. Eliminate all sources of ignition, and do not generate flames or sparks. Keep product and emptied container away from heat and sources of ignition.
Advice on general occupational
hygiene:Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Ensure adequate ventilation during use. Use only in a chemical fume hood.
Specific end use(s):Not applicable.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Appropriate engineering controls:Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:
Eye/face protection:Wear Protective safety goggles.
Hand protection:Wear chemical-resistant gloves.
Body protection:Wear protective clothing and chemical resistant boots.
Respiratory protection:Suitable respiratory protective device recommended.
Thermal hazards:Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent heat.
Environmental exposure controls:Avoid discharge into the environment. According to local regulations, Federal and official regulations.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity:The substance is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.
Chemical stability:Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions:No dangerous reactions known.
Conditions to avoid:Incompatible materials.
Incompatible materials:Strong oxidizing agents. Strong acids and bases.
Hazardous decomposition products:Carbon oxides, Sulphur oxides, Nitrogen oxides.
Disposal considerations
Due to the high risk of contamination recycling/recovery is not recommended. Waste disposal in accordance with regulations (most probably controlled incineration).
