Description of key information

The test substance undergoes hydrolysis in contact with water with half-lives of 6.73, 4.14 and 13.36 hours at pH 2.98, 6.98, and 10.00, respectively.

The ready biodegradability of ETOX is predicted based on two source substances, ethanolamine and propionic acid.  Since both ethanolamine and propionic acid have been shown to be readily biodegradable, the target substance can confidently be predicted also to be readily biodegradable.

The adsorption / desorption study does not need to be conducted because the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly.
