Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Following inhalation: If large amounts of fibers ar inhaled and pulmonary symptoms develop (coughing, wheezing, sortness of breath), move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, oxygen may be beneficial if administired by trained personnel, preferably on a doctor's advice. Get medical attention immediately.
- Following skin contact: If fiber irritate the skin, wash the skin with water first. Then, wash with soap and water. If irritation persists, get medical attention.
- Following eye contact: If fibers irritae eyes, flus eyes with copious quantities of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing by separating eyelids with fingers. If irritation persists, get medical attention immediately.
- Following ingestion: Have victim rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Have victim drink 240 to 300 mL of water and induce vmitting. Get medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: No known
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: None expected
- Advice for fire fighter: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and appropriate protective equipment.
Accidental release measures
- Environmental precautions: Avoid dust generation.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Do not dry sweep. To minimize dust generation, wet down spillage with low velocity water mist spray. Use high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter equipped central or portalble vacuum cleaner and place materials in sealed solid waste containers.
Handling and storage
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store this product separated from other materials in a usual warehouse.

Exposure controls / personal protection
2. Organisational protection measures: Use engineering controls such as isolation, enclosures, exhaust ventilation, wetting and dust collection to control airborne dust concentrations. It is preferable that the exhaust ventilation is designed and installed so that exhaust air is properly filtered and is not re-circulated into a workplace unless it has been effectively filtered.
3. Hand protection: Gloves
4. Body protection: Wear loosly fitting, long-sleeved clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. Follow good industrial hygiene practices for ventilation and clean up. Launder clothing before reuse.
5. Eye protection: Safety glasses or coverall goggles.
6. Respiratory protection: Wear respirator which is approved or made according to a standard approved by the relevant national body for health safety.
Stability and reactivity
2. Chemical stability : This product is stable under normal conditions of handling and storage.
3. Conditions to avoid : Conditions that may cause dangerous reactions are not known.
4. Incompatible materials: Materials that may cause dangerous reactions are not known.
5. Hazardous decomposition products: No information available.
