Description of key information

A hydrolysis study is technically not feasible due to complexity of the UVCB substance and associated problems finding a suitable analytical method to be applied during the analytical phase. The substance is an UVCB type substance with a highly complex composition. Considering the high solubility in water, it is anticipated that cyclic imides present in low amounts become hydrolyzed at least partly to the respective amides, which would explain the high solubility in water, but as this would only result in a ring opening rather than forming fragments, this can hardly be proven in this complex mixture. However, the high water solubility does support this assumption.
