Key result
Remarks on result:
no self-ignition observed up to the melting point

ln the Grewer-Oven test the pure test item melted and flowed out of the wire basket before self-ignition could occur.

Conclusions:
In the present study conducted according to VDI 2263, sheet 1, the self ignition temperature of Compimide 183 was determined using the Grewer Oven. No self ignition of the substance was observed because the item melted before ignition and is therefore not classified as self-heating substance in Division 4.2 “Substances liable to spontaneous combustion” (UN Transport Regulation) and EC 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation) Annex 1: 2.11.

Description of key information

- study conducted according to VDI 2263, sheet 1 and with respect to the classification procedure of the UN Transport Regulation (Class 4, Division 4.2) and GHS or EC 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation) Annex 1: 2.11), respectively, in the Grewer-Oven test the pure test item melted and flowed out of the wire basket before self-ignition could occur.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In the present study conducted according to VDI 2263, sheet I, the self ignition temperature of Compimide 183 was determined using the Grewer Oven. No self ignition oof the substance was observed because the item melted before ignition and is therefore not classified as self-heating substance in Division 4.2 “Substances liable to spontaneous combustion” (UN Transport Regulation) and EC 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation) Annex 1: 2.11.
