Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

General Information

Name:
Phosphoric acid, hexadecyl phosphate esters, potassium salts with cetostearyl alcohol
Implementation:
EU
Remarks:

The available evidence from the studies on the two trophic levels indicates the EC50 values to exceed the highest tested concentrations (nominal and/or measured), which is also considered to exceed the maximum soluble concentration of the substance in test medium; as evidenced in the algae study with the test substance (contrary to the CMC value). Further, the test substance is considered to be readily biodegradable and has a low bioaccumulation potential (based on weighted average estimated BCF of 1094 L/kg). Therefore, in absence of further studies to indicate otherwise, the test substance, 'mono- and di- C16 PSE, K+ and C16-18-OH' is concluded not to warrant aquatic classification according to EU CLP criteria (Regulation 1272/2008/EC).
