Description of key information

The biodegradation potential of 1-methyl-1-phenylethyl peroxyneodecanoate was evaluated by L´Haridon (2001) in a CO2 Evolution (Modified Sturm Test) according to OECD 301 B (July 1992). The test duration was 28 days and the initial test substance concentration was 10 mg/L. The results of the test showed that 1-methyl-1-phenylethyl peroxyneodecanoate degrades 99 % after 28 days.

Considering the results of the test it is concluded that 1-methyl-1-phenylethyl peroxyneodecanoate is readily biodegradable.
