Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
ISO 2719 (Determination of flash point - Pensky-Martens closed cup method)
Version / remarks:
2002
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
closed cup
Key result
Flash point:
154 °C
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 atm
Remarks on result:
other: Mean of 3 runs
Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
154º C (at atmospheric pressure)
Executive summary:

Method:

The measurement of the flash point was performed in closed cup using a Pensky Martens Semi- Automatic HER-ZOO LAUDA equipment. The procedure is as described in the corresponding QC SOP3: a sample (ca. 50 mL) is introduced in a closed cup and heated slowly until suddenly a flame is detected when opening the closed cup at a fixed temperature at atmospheric pressure. The measurement is repeated to verify value and mean value is reported.

Conclusion:

154°C (mean of 3 runs)

Description of key information
