Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
oxidising properties, other
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Reference
Endpoint:
auto-ignition temperature (liquids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
other: OECD Guideline 113, Screening Test for Thermal Stability and Stability in Air
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes
Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
> 400 °C
Atm. press.:
1 013 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: no exothermic event up to 400°C was observed

Starting from 25°C with a scan rate of 10°C/min up to 400°C no endo- or exothermic event was observed. The sample remained unchanged, decomposition did not happen obviously.

Conclusions:
During the DSC run no exothermic event was observed up to 400°C, therefore the auto-ignition temperature is higher than this.
